This report analyzed 16 schools in the Southwest Region to see which ones were the most popular programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Law program at each school on the list.

Top 10 Most Popular Law Schools
Our analysis found The University of Texas at Austin to be the most popular school for law students who want to pursue a degree in the Southwest Region . Located in the large city of Austin, UT Austin is a public school with a very large student population.
After completing their degree, law graduates from UT Austin carry an average student debt load of $19,500.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Arizona State University - Tempe is a great place for law students. Located in the midsize city of Tempe, ASU - Tempe is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Out of the 16 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Houston landed the # 4 spot on the list. UH is a very large public school located in the large city of Houston.

With a ranking of #9, Texas Southern University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for law students. TSU is a medium-sized public school located in the large city of Houston.
Baylor University ranked #10 on this year’s Most Popular Law Schools in the Southwest Region list. Located in the medium-sized city of Waco, Baylor is a private not-for-profit college with a very large student population.
