Best Kentucky Schools for Affordable Quality in History
Our analysis found Northern Kentucky University to be the best value school for history students who want to pursue a degree in Kentucky. Located in the suburb of Highland Heights, NKU is a public college with a large student population.
In-state tuition fees for undergraduate students at NKU are $10,392 per year. While working on their degree, history majors at NKU accumulate an average of around $27,500 in student debt.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Murray State University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Best Value History Schools in Kentucky list. Located in the remote town of Murray, Murray State is a public college with a moderately-sized student population.
