History is the #23 most popular major in the country with 32,731 degrees and certificates awarded in 2020-2021.

As online education oppotunities continue to grow, you're not restricted to just schools in your local area anymore. Even some of the 'big name' schools are offering online courses. Also, there are a number of trade schools with offerings that you might find attractive.

To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Course Advisor has created its Best Value History Bachelor's Degree Schools in the Southwest Region ranking. This report analyzed 36 schools in the Southwest Region to see which ones offered the best value bachelor's degree programs for history students. The goal was to highlight schools with more affordable prices than others offering similar quality experiences.

Our ranking of value is based on the quality of a program as defined in our per sticker price dollar. Specifically, our score for quality is discounted by the published tuition and fees charged by the given college. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The more quality your dollar buys, the better the value.

In our regional and nationwide rankings, out-of-state tution and fees are used in our calculations. For statewide rankings, we use average in-state tuition and fees.

Top 10 Best History Bachelor's Degree Schools

Our analysis found Arizona State University - Skysong to be the best value school for history students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the Southwest Region . ASU - Skysong is a very large public school located in the medium-sized city of Scottsdale.

The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state undergraduate student at ASU - Skysong are $13,092 a year.

In addition to its great value ranking, ASU - Skysong is in the top 10% of all schools on our Best History Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region list.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Grand Canyon University. It ranked #5 on our 2023 Best Value History Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Southwest Region list. Located in the large city of Phoenix, Grand Canyon University is a private for-profit school with a fairly large student population.
