To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Public Health program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named University of Massachusetts Amherst the most popular school in the New England Region for public health students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large suburb of Amherst, UMass Amherst is a public college with a very large student population.

About 84% of the students majoring in public health at the school are women while 16% are male.

On average, public health graduates from UMass Amherst take out $23,809 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree. This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $165, based on a 10-year repayment plan.

The in-demand bachelor’s degree programs at Southern New Hampshire University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular public health schools in the New England Region . SNHU is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Manchester.

Women make up 82% of the public health majors at the school.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, public health majors at SNHU accumulate an average of around $34,474 in student debt.
