University of Wisconsin - Madison did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best schools for public health students. It came in at #6 on the list. UW - Madison is a very large public school located in the city of Madison.

University of Wisconsin - Eau Claire ranked #7 on this year’s Best Public Health Schools in the Great Lakes Region list. UW - Eau Claire is a large public school located in the city of Eau Claire.
With a ranking of #8, Indiana University - Bloomington did quite well on this year’s best schools for public health students. Located in the city of Bloomington, IU Bloomington is a public college with a fairly large student population.
After completing their degree, public health graduates from IU Bloomington carry an average student debtload of $21,500. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $205.
Ohio Northern University ranked #9 on this year’s Best Public Health Schools in the Great Lakes Region list. ONU is a small private not-for-profit school located in the fringe town of Ada.
University of Michigan - Ann Arbor ranked #10 on this year’s Best Public Health Schools in the Great Lakes Region list. U-M is a fairly large public school located in the medium-sized city of Ann Arbor.

University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign landed the #11 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best public health programs. UIUC is a very large public school located in the city of Champaign.
The average amount in student loans that public health majors at UIUC take out is $19,823. For students who choose a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly student loan payment is $333.
