To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the American Sign Language program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Gallaudet University to be the most popular school for American Sign Language students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the United States. Located in the large city of Washington, Gallaudet is a private not-for-profit college with a small student population.

Women make up 61% of the ASL majors at the school.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Northern Colorado is a great place for American Sign Language students working on their master’s degree. University of Northern Colorado is a fairly large public school located in the city of Greeley.

Of the 18 students majoring in ASL at University of Northern Colorado, 17% are male and 83% are female.

Saint Paul, MN

Out of the 7 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, St Catherine University landed the # 4 spot on the list. St. Kate's is a small private not-for-profit school located in the city of Saint Paul.

Women make up 75% of the ASL majors at the school.

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Western Oregon University helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular American Sign Language schools in the United States. Western Oregon State College is a small public school located in the fringe town of Monmouth.

Rochester Institute of Technology did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for American Sign Language students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. RIT is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the large suburb of Rochester.

About 83% of the students majoring in ASL at the school are women while 17% are male.

Eastern Michigan University ranked #7 on this year’s Most Popular American Sign Language Master’s Degree Schools list. Located in the large suburb of Ypsilanti, Eastern Michigan is a public college with a fairly large student population.
