Of the 1,221 students majoring in engineering at U-M, 72% are male and 28% are female.

Out of the 57 schools in the Great Lakes Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Purdue University - Main Campus landed the # 2 spot on the list. Purdue is a very large public school located in the small city of West Lafayette.

About 29% of the students majoring in engineering at the school are women while 71% are male.
