Our analysis found Stanford University to be the most popular school for engineering students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in the Far Western US Region . Located in the suburb of Stanford, Stanford is a private not-for-profit college with a fairly large student population.

About 29% of the students majoring in engineering at the school are women while 71% are male.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of California - Berkeley is a great place for engineering students working on their doctor’s degree. UC Berkeley is a very large public school located in the medium-sized city of Berkeley.

Of the 168 students majoring in engineering at UC Berkeley, 72% are male and 28% are female.

The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at University of California - San Diego helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular engineering schools in the Far Western US Region . Located in the city of La Jolla, UCSD is a public school with a very large student population.
