Our analysis looked at 163 schools in the Southeast Region to see which bachelor's degree programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Engineering program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for engineering majors pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Our 2023 rankings named Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus the most popular school in the Southeast Region for engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the city of Atlanta, Georgia Tech is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Of the 2,029 students majoring in engineering at Georgia Tech, 68% are male and 32% are female.

Blacksburg, VA

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Virginia Tech is a great place for engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the small city of Blacksburg, Virginia Tech is a public school with a very large student population.

Out of the 163 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, North Carolina State University landed the # 3 spot on the list. NC State is a very large public school located in the large city of Raleigh.

Of the 1,587 students majoring in engineering at NC State, 67% are male and 33% are female.
