University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Best Engineering Schools in the Southeast Region ranking. UNC Chapel Hill is a fairly large public school located in the city of Chapel Hill.
After completing their degree, engineering graduates from UNC Chapel Hill carry an average student debtload of $14,750.

University of Florida did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best schools for engineering students. It came in at #7 on the list. UF is a very large public school located in the medium-sized city of Gainesville.
While working on their degree, engineering majors at UF accumulate an average of around $21,079 in student debt. Assuming that a graduate chooses a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly loan payment is $216.
