Our 2023 rankings named University of Central Florida the most popular school in Florida for mechanical engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. UCF is a very large public school located in the large suburb of Orlando.

Of the 445 students majoring in ME at UCF, 82% are male and 18% are female.

On average, ME graduates from UCF take out $24,885 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree.

Gainesville, FL

Out of the 16 schools in Florida that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Florida landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the medium-sized city of Gainesville, UF is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 373 students majoring in ME at UF, 82% are male and 18% are female.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, ME majors at UF accumulate an average of around $20,353 in student debt. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $157.

Florida Institute of Technology did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for mechanical engineering students to get a bachelor’s degree. It came in at #7 on the list. Located in the small city of Melbourne, Florida Tech is a private not-for-profit school with a medium-sized student population.
