Our 2023 rankings named Colorado School of Mines the best school in the Rocky Mountains Region for general engineering students. Located in the suburb of Golden, Mines is a public college with a medium-sized student population.
Out of the 13 schools in the Rocky Mountains Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Colorado Boulder landed the # 2 spot on the list. CU - Boulder is a fairly large public school located in the city of Boulder.

Utah Valley University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best schools for general engineering students. It came in at #8 on the list. UVU is a very large public school located in the small city of Orem.
Weber State University landed the #9 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best general engineering programs. WSU is a very large public school located in the small city of Ogden.
