Our 2023 rankings named University of Connecticut the most popular school in the New England Region for environmental engineering students. Located in the large suburb of Storrs, UCONN is a public college with a fairly large student population.

The excellent programs at Yale University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the best environmental engineering schools in the New England Region . Located in the medium-sized city of New Haven, Yale is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend University of New Hampshire - Main Campus. The school came in at #3 on this year’s Most Popular Environmental Engineering Schools in the New England Region list. UNH is a large public school located in the suburb of Durham.

On average, environmental engineering graduates from WPI take out $27,000 in student loans while working on their degree.
