Our 2023 rankings named Rochester Institute of Technology the most popular school in the Middle Atlantic Region for computer engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the suburb of Rochester, RIT is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population.

About 11% of the students majoring in CE at the school are women while 89% are male.

CE majors at RIT take out an average of $27,950 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree. For students who choose a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly student loan payment is $341.

Out of the 44 schools in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Maryland - College Park landed the # 2 spot on the list. UMCP is a very large public school located in the suburb of College Park.

Women make up 18% of the CE majors at the school.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, CE majors at UMCP accumulate an average of around $19,782 in student debt.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh Campus. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Computer Engineering Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Middle Atlantic Region list. Located in the large city of Pittsburgh, Pitt is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 92 students majoring in CE at Pitt, 90% are male and 10% are female.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, CE graduates from Pitt carry an average student debt load of $23,796. For students who choose a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly student loan payment is $430.

Out of the 44 schools in the Middle Atlantic Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Drexel University landed the # 5 spot on the list. Drexel is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Philadelphia.

Of the 84 students majoring in CE at Drexel, 86% are male and 14% are female.
