Our 2023 rankings named Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus the most popular school in the Southeast Region for civil engineering students working on their doctor’s degree. Georgia Tech is a very large public school located in the city of Atlanta.

Out of the 27 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, North Carolina State University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the large city of Raleigh, NC State is a public school with a very large student population.

Of the 24 students majoring in civil eng at NC State, 79% are male and 21% are female.

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means University of Central Florida is a great place for civil engineering students working on their doctor’s degree. UCF is a very large public school located in the large suburb of Orlando.

University of Virginia is a fairly large public school located in the suburb of Charlottesville.
