To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Chemical Engineering program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Georgia Institute of Technology - Main Campus the most popular school in the Southeast Region for chemical engineering students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large city of Atlanta, Georgia Tech is a public college with a very large student population.

About 42% of the students majoring in chem eng at the school are women while 58% are male.

While working on their Bachelor's Degree, chem eng majors at Georgia Tech accumulate an average of around $25,972 in student debt. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $553.

Out of the 38 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, The University of Alabama landed the # 2 spot on the list. UA is a very large public school located in the small city of Tuscaloosa.
