Out of the 17 schools in California that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Southern California landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Los Angeles, USC is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

About 51% of the students majoring in bio engineering at the school are women while 49% are male.

University of California - Riverside did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for biomedical engineering students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #8 on the list. UCR is a very large public school located in the city of Riverside.

Of the 27 students majoring in bio engineering at UCR, 56% are male and 44% are female.
