This report analyzed 17 schools in California to see which ones were the most popular bachelor's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the General Education program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named University of California - Irvine the most popular school in California for general education students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large city of Irvine, UC Irvine is a public college with a fairly large student population.

Of the 357 students majoring in education at UC Irvine, 18% are male and 82% are female.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, education graduates from UC Irvine carry an average student debt load of $15,329. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $230, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

Orange, CA

A rank of #3 on this year’s list means Chapman University is a great place for general education students working on their bachelor’s degree. Chapman is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in the city of Orange.
