Our analysis looked at 62 schools in the New England Region to see which bachelor's degree programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Computer Science program at each school on the list.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for compsci majors pursuing a bachelor's degree.

Our 2023 rankings named Massachusetts Institute of Technology the most popular school in the New England Region for computer science students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the midsize city of Cambridge, MIT is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population.

Of the 393 students majoring in compsci at MIT, 63% are male and 37% are female.

Assuming that a graduate chooses a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly loan payment is $682.

Out of the 62 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Southern New Hampshire University landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the midsize suburb of Manchester, SNHU is a private not-for-profit college with a very large student population.

About 17% of the students majoring in compsci at the school are women while 83% are male.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, compsci graduates from SNHU carry an average student debt load of $29,130.

The average amount in student loans that compsci majors at UMass Amherst take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $22,027.
