Also there are many trade schools that offer short-term programs that open up more career options.
To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Course Advisor has created its Most Popular Accounting Master's Degree Schools in the Southeast Region ranking. This report analyzed 132 schools in the Southeast Region to see which ones were the most popular master's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Accounting program at each school on the list.

Top 15% Most Popular Accounting Master's Degree Schools
Our 2023 rankings named Florida Atlantic University the most popular school in the Southeast Region for accounting students working on their master’s degree. FAU is a fairly large public school located in the city of Boca Raton.
About 60% of the students majoring in accounting at the school are women while 40% are male.
The in-demand master’s degree programs at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular accounting schools in the Southeast Region . UNC Chapel Hill is a very large public school located in the city of Chapel Hill.
About 35% of the students majoring in accounting at the school are women while 65% are male.

Out of the 132 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Liberty University landed the # 3 spot on the list. Located in the city of Lynchburg, Liberty University is a private not-for-profit school with a very large student population.
Of the 188 students majoring in accounting at Liberty University, 40% are male and 60% are female.

Florida State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for accounting students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. Located in the medium-sized city of Tallahassee, Florida State is a public school with a fairly large student population.
Of the 102 students majoring in accounting at Florida State, 54% are male and 46% are female.
Nova Southeastern University landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree accounting programs. Located in the suburb of Fort Lauderdale, NUS Florida is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

With a ranking of #13, Florida International University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for accounting students working on their master’s degree. Located in the suburb of Miami, FIU is a public school with a fairly large student population.
