To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Course Advisor has created its Best Value General Architecture Schools in the Southeast Region ranking. This report analyzed 23 schools in the Southeast Region to see which ones offered the best value programs for architecture students. The goal was to highlight schools with more affordable prices than others offering similar quality experiences.
Our ranking of value is based on the quality of a program as defined in our per sticker price dollar. More specifically, we discount our quality score by the published tuition and fees charged by a school. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The value is determined by how much quality your dollar buys.
In our regional and nationwide rankings, out-of-state tution and fees are used in our calculations. Average in-state tuition and fees are used for our statewide rankings.
Top 10 Best General Architecture Schools
Our 2023 rankings named Kennesaw State University the best value school in the Southeast Region for general architecture students. Located in the suburb of Kennesaw, KSU Georgia is a public school with a very large student population.
The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state undergraduate student at KSU Georgia are $17,690 a year. Architecture majors at KSU Georgia take out an average of $37,950 in student loans while working on their egree.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of North Carolina at Charlotte. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Best Value General Architecture Schools in the Southeast Region list. Located in the city of Charlotte, UNC Charlotte is a public school with a very large student population.
UNC Charlotte undergraduate students pay an average of $20,622 in tuition and fees each year. Architecture majors at UNC Charlotte take out an average of $27,000 in student loans while working on their egree.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Virginia Tech. The school came in at #4 on this year’s Best Value General Architecture Schools in the Southeast Region list. Virginia Tech is a fairly large public school located in the small city of Blacksburg.
The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state undergraduate student at Virginia Tech are $33,857 a year. After completing their degree, architecture graduates from Virginia Tech carry an average student debtload of $31,000. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $799.
