Our analysis looked at 965 schools in the Southeast Region to see which undergraduate certificate programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Northern Virginia Community College the most popular school in the Southeast Region for students working on their undergraduate certificate. Northern Virginia Community College is a large public school situated in Annandale, Virginia. It awarded 2,179 undergraduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Full-time students from Virginia pay an average of $5,565 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Northern Virginia Community College. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $11,648. By the time they get their undergraduate certificate, students from this school have racked up an average of $16,425 in student loans. Around 55% of those degree recipients were women.

Located in Raymond, Mississippi, the fairly large public school awarded 1,674 diplomas to qualifed undergraduate certificate students in 2020-2021.
Full-time students from Mississippi pay an average of $3,750 in tuition and fees if they choose to attend Hinds Community College. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $6,800. By the time they get their undergraduate certificate, students from this school have racked up an average of $15,386 in student loans. Around 50% of those degree recipients were women.

Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College is a medium-sized public school located in Perkinston, Mississippi that handed out 1,517 undergraduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Students from Mississippi who attend Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College full time pay an average of $3,950 in tuition and fees. Out-of-state students pay an average of $7,250. Around 45% of those degree recipients were women.

Delgado Community College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get an undergraduate certificate. It came in at #6 on the list. This fairly large public school is located in New Orleans, Louisiana, and it awarded 1,266 undergraduate certificates in 2020-2021.
If you don’t receive financial aid, you can expect a bill for $4,079 to cover tuition and fees at Delgado Community College. The school does not offer an in-state discount. On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $24,127 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 75% were women.

South Louisiana Community College does not offer a discount to in-state students, so the average tuition and fees for all undergraduates is $4,205. This amount may be reduced if you receive financial aid. Undergraduate Certificate recipients from South Louisiana Community College accumulate an average of $10,759 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 57% were women.
You may have the opportunity to take online classes at South Louisiana Community College. Of all the undergraduates enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 29% took at least some of their classes online.
With a ranking of #8, ECPI University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their undergraduate certificate. ECPI University is a fairly large private for-profit school located in Virginia Beach, Virginia that handed out 839 undergraduate certificates in 2020-2021.
The average tuition and fees at ECPI University is $17,479. In-state students do not receive a discount, however you may be able to reduce your price if you receive financial aid. On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $19,560 in loans while pursuing their degree. Around 94% of those degree recipients were women.

With a ranking of #9, Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute, Covington did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their undergraduate certificate. Located in Covington, Louisiana, the small private for-profit school handed out 829 undergraduate certificate awards in 2020-2021.
Undergraduate Certificate recipients from Aveda Arts & Sciences Institute, Covington accumulate an average of $13,619 in student debt by the time they complete their degree. Around 97% of those degree recipients were women.

Northshore Technical Community College came in at #10 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Undergraduate Certificate Schools in the Southeast Region ranking. Located in Bogalusa, Louisiana, the small public school handed out 779 undergraduate certificate awards in 2020-2021.

Southern Technical College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get an undergraduate certificate. It came in at #15 on the list. Located in Orlando, Florida, the small private for-profit school awarded 796 diplomas to qualifed undergraduate certificate students in 2020-2021.
On average, undergraduate certificate students take out $13,164 in loans while pursuing their degree. Of those students who received their degree, 62% were women.

Gwinnett Technical College did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get an undergraduate certificate. It came in at #18 on the list. Gwinnett Technical College is a medium-sized public school located in Lawrenceville, Georgia that handed out 588 undergraduate certificates in 2020-2021.
Students from Georgia who attend GTC full time pay an average of $3,236 in tuition and fees. Those students who come from outside the state pay an average of $5,636. University of Arkansas - Pulaski Technical College landed the #24 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular undergraduate certificate programs. Located in North Little Rock, Arkansas, the small public school handed out 523 undergraduate certificate awards in 2020-2021.
In-state students pay an average of $5,670 in tuition and fees if they attend UA Pulaski Tech full time. If you are from out of state, expect to pay an average of $6,900. By the time they get their undergraduate certificate, students from this school have racked up an average of $18,592 in student loans. Of those students who received their degree, 66% were women.
