Our analysis found University of Kansas to be the most popular school for students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in Kansas. This large public school is located in Lawrence, Kansas, and it awarded 916 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 53% were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at KU. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 69% took at least some of their classes online.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Kansas State University. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Doctor’s Degree Schools in Kansas list. This large public school is located in Manhattan, Kansas, and it awarded 339 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

The excellent doctor’s degree programs at Washburn University helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular schools in Kansas. Washburn University is a medium-sized public school located in Topeka, Kansas that handed out 120 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at Washburn University. In fact, around 48% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.

With a ranking of #11, Emporia State University did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in Emporia, Kansas, the medium-sized public school handed out 3 doctor’s degree awards in 2020-2021.
