This report analyzed 16 schools in Oregon to see which ones were the most popular doctor's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from each school on the list.

Our analysis found Pacific University to be the most popular school for students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in Oregon. Pacific is a small private not-for-profit school situated in Forest Grove, Oregon. It awarded 359 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 70% were women.
One thing to take note of is that Pacific does offer online graduate classes in some areas. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 71% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.
You’ll be in good company if you attend Oregon State University. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Doctor’s Degree Schools in Oregon list. This large public school is located in Corvallis, Oregon, and it awarded 403 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

The excellent doctor’s degree programs at Oregon Health & Science University helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular schools in Oregon. Portland, Oregon is the setting for this small institution of higher learning. The public school handed out doctor’s degrees to 314 students in 2020-2021.
Around 56% of those degree recipients were women.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at OHSU. During the 2019-2020 year, about 18% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.

You’ll be in good company if you attend Lewis & Clark College. The school came in at #5 on this year’s Most Popular Doctor’s Degree Schools in Oregon list. Located in Portland, Oregon, the small private not-for-profit school handed out 187 doctor’s degree awards in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 62% were women.
One thing to take note of is that Lewis and Clark College does offer online graduate classes in some areas. During the 2019-2020 year, about 95% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
University of Western States ranked #6 on this year’s Most Popular Doctor’s Degree Schools in Oregon list. This small private not-for-profit school is located in Portland, Oregon, and it awarded 180 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

If you are interested in distance education, be sure to check with the school since Western States Chiropractic College does offer online graduate classes for certain majors. Portland State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #9 on the list. Portland State University is a large public school located in Portland, Oregon that handed out 95 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.

National University of Natural Medicine did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #10 on the list. This very small private not-for-profit school is located in Portland, Oregon, and it awarded 70 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 86% of those degree recipients were women.
Since the graduate programs at NUNM are online, the school is an excellent choice for graduate students who need more flexibility than what is offered at some other schools.
University of Portland landed the #11 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular doctor’s degree programs. University of Portland is a small private not-for-profit school located in Portland, Oregon that handed out 24 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Of those students who received their degree, 75% were women.
Interested in an online degree? Then you definitely want to check out University of Portland. Every graduate student at the school took at least one class online.
With a ranking of #12, Western Seminary did quite well on this year’s most popular schools for students working on their doctor’s degree. Western Seminary is a very small private not-for-profit school located in Portland, Oregon that handed out 14 doctor’s degrees in 2020-2021.
Around 29% of those degree recipients were women.
