Some students may be able to take online graduate classes at Northwestern. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 2% took at least some of their classes online.
A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Chicago is a great place for students working on their doctor’s degree.

U-M does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 74% took at least some of their classes online.
With a ranking of #7, Saint Mary’s College did quite well on this year’s best schools for students working on their doctor’s degree.
Since the graduate programs at St. Mary’s College are primarily online school, so it is a great choice for returning adults and students who work full time.
Michigan Technological University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #8 on the list.
Depending on your major, you may be able to take online graduate classes at Michigan Tech. In fact, around 30% of the graduate population registered for at least one online class in 2019-2020.
Olivet Nazarene University landed the #9 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best doctor’s degree programs.
Olivet Nazarene does offer online graduate classes for certain degree levels. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 97% took at least some of their classes online.
With a ranking of #10, Purdue University - Main Campus did quite well on this year’s best schools for students working on their doctor’s degree.
One thing to take note of is that Purdue does offer online graduate classes in some areas. In 2019-2020 about 60% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #11 on the list.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at UIUC. To give an idea of how popular online courses are at the school, 90% of graduates took at least one course online in 2019-2020.

With a ranking of #12, University of Wisconsin - La Crosse did quite well on this year’s best schools for students working on their doctor’s degree.

University of Wisconsin - Madison came in at #13 in this year’s edition of the Best Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region ranking.
You may have the opportunity to take online graduate classes at UW - Madison. In 2019-2020 about 75% of the graduate students at the school chose to take one or more online courses.
With a ranking of #14, Edgewood College did quite well on this year’s best schools for students working on their doctor’s degree.

Otterbein University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the best places for students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #15 on the list.

Manchester University ranked #16 on this year’s Best Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region list.

Michigan State University landed the #17 spot in the 2023 rankings for the best doctor’s degree programs.
One thing to take note of is that Michigan State does offer online graduate classes in some areas. During the 2019-2020 year, about 65% of the graduate students at the school took at least one online course.
Carroll University ranked #18 on this year’s Best Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region list.
Online graduate courses are available at Carroll U, but you will need to check with the school to see if they are available for your field of interest. Of all the graduate students enrolled at the school during the 2019-2020 academic year, around 32% took at least some of their classes online.
Concordia University, Chicago ranked #19 on this year’s Best Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region list.

Ferris State University came in at #20 in this year’s edition of the Best Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Great Lakes Region ranking.
