Out of the 76 schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Georgia State University landed the # 5 spot on the list. Georgia State is a very large public school located in the large city of Atlanta.

University of Southern Mississippi came in at #6 in this year’s edition of the Most Popular Music Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region ranking. Located in the small city of Hattiesburg, Southern Miss is a public college with a large student population.

The University of Tennessee - Knoxville landed the #8 spot in the 2023 rankings for the most popular master’s degree music programs. UT Knoxville is a very large public school located in the medium-sized city of Knoxville.

Shenandoah University ranked #9 on this year’s Most Popular Music Master’s Degree Schools in the Southeast Region list. Located in the small city of Winchester, Shenandoah is a private not-for-profit school with a small student population.
Of the 26 students majoring in music at Shenandoah, 54% are male and 46% are female.
