Our 2023 rankings named Berklee College of Music the most popular school in Massachusetts for music students working on their bachelor’s degree. Located in the large city of Boston, Berklee College of Music is a private not-for-profit school with a moderately-sized student population.

About 45% of the students majoring in music at the school are women while 55% are male.

The average amount in student loans that music majors at Berklee College of Music take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $23,585. For students who choose a 10-year repayment plan, the average monthly student loan payment is $1,062.

Out of the 34 schools in Massachusetts that were part of this year’s ranking, The New England Conservatory of Music landed the # 2 spot on the list. The New England Conservatory of Music is a fairly small private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Boston.

About 54% of the students majoring in music at the school are women while 46% are male.

Out of the 34 schools in Massachusetts that were part of this year’s ranking, Northeastern University landed the # 3 spot on the list. Northeastern is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Boston.
