Even some of the 'big name' schools are offering online courses. Also, there are a number of trade schools with offerings that you might find attractive.

To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Course Advisor has created its Most Popular Online Music Schools ranking. Our analysis looked at 21 schools in the United States to see which online programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our 2023 rankings named Liberty University the most popular online school in the United States for music students. Liberty University is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the small city of Lynchburg.

After completing their degree, music graduates from Liberty University carry an average student debtload of $27,000. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $485.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Musicians Institute. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Online Music Schools list. Located in the city of Hollywood, Musicians Institute is a private for-profit college with a fairly small student population.
