To help you arm yourself with the information you need to make your decision, Course Advisor has developed this Best Value Music Schools in Colorado ranking. This report analyzed 12 schools in Colorado to see which ones offered the best value programs for music students. The goal was to highlight schools with more affordable prices than others offering similar quality experiences.
When determining this ranking, we place a high emphasis on the school's quality as well as its sticker price. Even though a college may be affordable, it may not offer value. More specifically, we discount our quality score by the published tuition and fees charged by a school. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The value is determined by how much quality your dollar buys.
Our calculations use out-of-state tuition and fees in our nationwide and regional rankings. Average in-state tuition and fees are used for our statewide rankings.
Top 10 Best Music Schools
Our analysis found Arapahoe Community College to be the best value school for music students who want to pursue a degree in Colorado. Located in the large suburb of Littleton, Arapahoe Community College is a public school with a fairly large student population.
Arapahoe Community College undergraduate students pay an average of $4,080 in in-state tuition and fees each year.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means Community College of Aurora is a great value for music students. CCA is a moderately-sized public school located in the city of Aurora.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Colorado Denver/Anschutz Medical Campus. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Best Value Music Schools in Colorado list. CU Anschutz is a very large public school located in the city of Denver.
CU Anschutz undergraduate students pay an average of $9,384 in in-state tuition and fees each year. The average amount in student loans that music majors at CU Anschutz take out is $25,000. This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $289, based on a 10-year repayment plan.
