Out of all the majors we analyze each year, music was ranked #43 in the country. In fact 25,910 degrees and certificates were handed out in 2020-2021.

To assist you in seeing some of the education options that are available to you, Course Advisor has created its Best Value Music Bachelor's Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking. Our analysis looked at 24 schools in the Rocky Mountains Region to see which bachelor's degree programs offered the best value experiences for music students with the aim of identifying those quality schools that are more affordable than some of their counterparts.
Our ranking of value is based on the quality of a program as defined in our per sticker price dollar. Specifically, our score for quality is discounted by the published tuition and fees charged by the given college. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The more quality your dollar buys, the better the value.
In our regional and nationwide rankings, out-of-state tution and fees are used in our calculations. For statewide rankings, we use average in-state tuition and fees.
Top 10 Best Music Bachelor's Degree Schools
Our analysis found Brigham Young University - Provo to be the best value school for music students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the Rocky Mountains Region . BYU is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the midsize city of Provo.
The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state undergraduate student at BYU are $6,120 a year. On average, music graduates from BYU take out $17,560 in student loans while working on their Bachelor's Degree.
As a testament to the quality of education it offers, BYU also is in the top 20% of our Best Music Bachelor’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region ranking.
