When determining this ranking, we place a high emphasis on the school's quality as well as its sticker price. Even though a college may be affordable, it may not offer value. More specifically, we discount our quality score by the published tuition and fees charged by a school. This gives the cost per unit of quality for each college. The value is determined by how much quality your dollar buys.

Our calculations use out-of-state tuition and fees in our nationwide and regional rankings. Average in-state tuition and fees are used for our statewide rankings.

Our analysis found Eastern New Mexico University - Main Campus to be the best value school for air transportation students who want to pursue a degree in the Southwest Region . Located in the town of Portales, ENMU - Main Campus is a public school with a small student population.

ENMU - Main Campus undergraduate students pay an average of $8,568 in tuition and fees each year. After completing their degree, air transport graduates from ENMU - Main Campus carry an average student debtload of $11,779.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Central New Mexico Community College. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Best Value Air Transportation Schools in the Southwest Region list. CNM is a large public school located in the large city of Albuquerque.

Out-of-state tuition fees for undergraduate students at UNT are $20,906 per year. The average amount in student loans that air transport majors at UNT take out is $23,187.

The excellent programs at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University - Prescott helped the school earn the #4 place on this year’s ranking of the best air transportation schools in the Southwest Region . Located in the rural area of Prescott, Embry-Riddle Prescott is a private not-for-profit college with a small student population.

The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state undergraduate student at Embry-Riddle Prescott are $38,966 a year. The average amount in student loans that air transport majors at Embry-Riddle Prescott take out is $22,010. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $1,177, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

The average tuition and fees for an out-of-state undergraduate student at OSU are $24,764 a year. After completing their degree, air transport graduates from OSU carry an average student debtload of $20,839. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $374.
