To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Sociology program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found University of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh Campus to be the most popular school for sociology students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in Pennsylvania. Pitt is a fairly large public school located in the city of Pittsburgh.

Of the 52 students majoring in sociology at Pitt, 27% are male and 73% are female.

Out of the 63 schools in Pennsylvania that were part of this year’s ranking, Indiana University of Pennsylvania - Main Campus landed the # 2 spot on the list. IUP is a medium-sized public school located in the town of Indiana.

Of the 39 students majoring in sociology at IUP, 15% are male and 85% are female.

This translates to an average monthly loan payment of $202, based on a 10-year repayment plan.
