Our 2023 rankings named University of Colorado Boulder the most popular school in the Rocky Mountains Region for physics students working on their doctor’s degree. CU - Boulder is a fairly large public school located in the medium-sized city of Boulder.

About 6% of the students majoring in physics at the school are women while 94% are male.

Salt Lake City, UT

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend University of Utah. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Physics Doctor’s Degree Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region list. U of U is a very large public school located in the city of Salt Lake City.

Of the 15 students majoring in physics at U of U, 60% are male and 40% are female.

University of Idaho did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for physics students to get a doctor’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. U of I is a fairly large public school located in the town of Moscow.
