This report analyzed 21 schools in the New England Region to see which ones were the most popular doctor's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Physics program at each school on the list.

Women make up 26% of the physics majors at the school.

The in-demand doctor’s degree programs at Massachusetts Institute of Technology helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular physics schools in the New England Region . MIT is a large private not-for-profit school located in the city of Cambridge.

Of the 37 students majoring in physics at MIT, 78% are male and 22% are female.
