To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Chemistry program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Yale University to be the most popular school for chemistry students who want to pursue a master’s degree in the New England Region . Yale is a large private not-for-profit school located in the medium-sized city of New Haven.

About 39% of the students majoring in chemistry at the school are women while 61% are male.

Cambridge, MA

The in-demand master’s degree programs at Harvard University helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the most popular chemistry schools in the New England Region . Harvard is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the midsize city of Cambridge.

About 29% of the students majoring in chemistry at the school are women while 71% are male.

You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Brown University. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Chemistry Master’s Degree Schools in the New England Region list. Located in the city of Providence, Brown is a private not-for-profit college with a large student population.

Out of the 26 schools in the New England Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of New Haven landed the # 4 spot on the list. University of New Haven is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of West Haven.

Northeastern University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular places for chemistry students to get a master’s degree. It came in at #6 on the list. Located in the large city of Boston, Northeastern is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.
