Our analysis looked at 74 schools in the Southwest Region to see which programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Culinary Arts program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Auguste Escoffier School of Culinary Arts - Austin the most popular school in the Southwest Region for culinary arts students. Located in the city of Austin, Escoffier - Austin is a private for-profit school with a small student population.

After completing their degree, culinary arts graduates from Escoffier - Austin carry an average student debt load of $14,346. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $133, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

You’ll join some of the best and brightest minds around you if you attend Arizona Culinary Institute. The school came in at #2 on this year’s Most Popular Culinary Arts Schools in the Southwest Region list. Located in the midsize city of Scottsdale, Arizona Culinary Institute is a private for-profit college with a fairly small student population.

On average, culinary arts graduates from Arizona Culinary Institute take out $9,500 in student loans while working on their degree. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $165.
