To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

The colleges and universities below are the most popular for liberal arts majors pursuing an online associate degree.

Our 2023 rankings named Hillsborough Community College the most popular online school in the Southeast Region for liberal arts general studies students working on their associate degree. HCC is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Tampa.

Of the 3,242 students majoring in liberal arts at HCC, 38% are male and 62% are female.

While working on their Associate Degree, liberal arts majors at HCC accumulate an average of around $14,800 in student debt. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $114.

Out of the 156 online programs at schools in the Southeast Region that were part of this year’s ranking, St Petersburg College landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the city of Clearwater, SPC is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 3,158 students majoring in liberal arts at SPC, 35% are male and 65% are female.

The average amount in student loans that liberal arts majors at SPC take out while working on their Associate Degree is $17,385.
