Our 2023 rankings named Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School the most popular school in the Great Lakes Region for legal professions students working on their doctor’s degree. WMU-Cooley Law School is a fairly small private not-for-profit school located in the city of Lansing.

Women make up 61% of the legal professions majors at the school.

Out of the 29 schools in the Great Lakes Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Michigan - Ann Arbor landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the medium-sized city of Ann Arbor, U-M is a public school with a fairly large student population.
