Our 2023 rankings named Southern New Hampshire University the most popular online school in the United States for history students. Located in the midsize suburb of Manchester, SNHU is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

History majors at SNHU take out an average of $30,406 in student loans while working on their egree.

Out of the 92 schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, American Public University System landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the town of Charles Town, American Military University is a private for-profit college with a very large student population.
