Best District of Columbia Schools for Affordable Quality in History
Our 2023 rankings named Georgetown University the best value school in District of Columbia for history students. Georgetown is a fairly large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Washington.
The average tuition and fees for an in-state undergraduate at Georgetown are $59,957 a year. While working on their degree, history majors at Georgetown accumulate an average of around $14,750 in student debt.
In addition to its best value ranking, and one of the reasons why the school is on the list, Georgetown is ranked #1 for overall quality for history in District of Columbia.

Located in the large city of Washington, CUA is a private not-for-profit school with a moderately-sized student population.
