This report analyzed 62 schools in the Southwest Region to see which ones were the most popular doctor's degree programs for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Health Professions program at each school on the list.

Our analysis found Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center to be the most popular school for health professions students who want to pursue a doctor’s degree in the Southwest Region . TTUHSC is a moderately-sized public school located in the large city of Lubbock.

Of the 470 students majoring in health professions at TTUHSC, 38% are male and 62% are female.

Tucson, AZ

Out of the 62 schools in the Southwest Region that were part of this year’s ranking, University of Arizona landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the large city of Tucson, University of Arizona is a public college with a very large student population.

Of the 451 students majoring in health professions at University of Arizona, 32% are male and 68% are female.
