Our analysis looked at 75 schools in the Rocky Mountains Region to see which programs were the most popular for students. To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from the Nursing program at each school on the list.

Our 2023 rankings named Western Governors University the most popular school in the Rocky Mountains Region for nursing students. WGU is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the suburb of Salt Lake City.
The average amount in student loans that nursing majors at WGU take out is $21,420.
Out of the 75 schools in the Rocky Mountains Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Weber State University landed the # 2 spot on the list. WSU is a fairly large public school located in the city of Ogden.
While working on their degree, nursing majors at WSU accumulate an average of around $17,115 in student debt.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend AmeriTech College - Draper. It ranked #3 on our 2023 Most Popular Nursing Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region list. Located in the large suburb of Draper, AmeriTech College - Draper is a private for-profit college with a small student population.

University of Utah ranked #10 on this year’s Most Popular Nursing Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region list. U of U is a fairly large public school located in the midsize city of Salt Lake City.
On average, nursing graduates from U of U take out $22,466 in student loans while working on their degree.
Dixie State University did quite well in this year’s ranking of the most popular schools for nursing students. It came in at #11 on the list. Dixie State College is a fairly large public school located in the small city of Saint George.
