To create this ranking we looked at how many students graduated from schools with online programs.

Our analysis found National University to be the most popular school for nursing students who want to pursue an online bachelor’s degree in California. National University is a large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of La Jolla.

About 75% of the students majoring in nursing at the school are women while 25% are male.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, nursing graduates from National University carry an average student debtload of $35,476. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $198, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.

The in-demand online bachelor’s degree programs at California State University - Dominguez Hills helped the school earn the #2 place on this year’s ranking of the best nursing schools in California. Located in the small city of Carson, CSUDH is a public college with a fairly large student population.

About 85% of the students majoring in nursing at the school are women while 15% are male.

After completing their Bachelor's Degree, nursing graduates from CSUDH carry an average student debtload of $20,803.

Out of the 12 online programs at schools in California that were part of this year’s ranking, United States University landed the # 3 spot on the list. Located in the city of San Diego, USU is a private for-profit school with a small student population.
