Our 2023 rankings named Indiana University - Purdue University - Indianapolis the most popular school in the Great Lakes Region for medicine students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the large city of Indianapolis, IUPUI is a public college with a fairly large student population.

Of the 345 students majoring in medicine at IUPUI, 55% are male and 45% are female.

A rank of #2 on this year’s list means University of Illinois at Chicago is a great place for medicine students working on their doctor’s degree. UIC is a fairly large public school located in the city of Chicago.

Out of the 23 schools in the Great Lakes Region that were part of this year’s ranking, Wayne State University landed the # 3 spot on the list. Wayne State is a fairly large public school located in the large city of Detroit.
