Our analysis found Texas Tech University to be the most popular school for general family and consumer sciences students who want to pursue a bachelor’s degree in the Southwest Region . Located in the city of Lubbock, Texas Tech is a public school with a fairly large student population.

Of the 252 students majoring in consumer science at Texas Tech, 20% are male and 80% are female.

The average amount in student loans that consumer science majors at Texas Tech take out while working on their Bachelor's Degree is $27,448. When it comes time to repay the loan, graduates who are on a 10-year repayment plan pay an average monthly payment of $303.
