Our analysis found University of Missouri - Columbia to be the most popular school for area studies students who want to pursue a degree in the Plains States Region . Located in the midsize city of Columbia, Mizzou is a public college with a fairly large student population.

After completing their degree, area studies graduates from Mizzou carry an average student debt load of $25,250. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $461, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.
