Our calculations use out-of-state tuition and fees in our nationwide and regional rankings. Average in-state tuition and fees are used for our statewide rankings.

Best Rocky Mountains Region Schools for Affordable Quality in Area Studies

Our analysis found Brigham Young University - Provo to be the best value school for area studies students who want to pursue a degree in the Rocky Mountains Region . Located in the city of Provo, BYU is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.

Out-of-state tuition fees for undergraduate students at BYU are $6,120 per year. After completing their degree, area studies graduates from BYU carry an average student debtload of $10,000.

On top of its placing in our value ranking, BYU also did well on our Best Area Studies Schools in the Rocky Mountains Region list. It’s in the top 15% of all schools reviewed in this analysis.
