Our 2023 rankings named Northeastern University the most popular school in Massachusetts for engineering students. Northeastern is a very large private not-for-profit school located in the large city of Boston.
The average amount in student loans that engineering majors at Northeastern take out is $25,659. The average monthly payment of a loan this size is about $412, assuming that the borrower is on a 10-year repayment plan.
You’ll be in good company if you decide to attend Worcester Polytechnic Institute. It ranked #2 on our 2023 Most Popular Engineering Schools in Massachusetts list. WPI is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in the city of Worcester.
