Our 2023 rankings named Massachusetts Institute of Technology the most popular school in the New England Region for engineering students working on their doctor’s degree. Located in the medium-sized city of Cambridge, MIT is a private not-for-profit school with a fairly large student population.
About 27% of the students majoring in engineering at the school are women while 73% are male.
