Our 2023 rankings named Air Force Institute of Technology - Graduate School of Engineering & Management the most popular online school in the United States for engineering students working on their graduate certificate. AFIT Graduate School of Engineering & Management is a small public school located in the suburb of Wright-Patterson AFB.

About 17% of the students majoring in engineering at the school are women while 83% are male.

Out of the 41 online programs at schools in the United States that were part of this year’s ranking, Missouri University of Science and Technology landed the # 2 spot on the list. Located in the remote town of Rolla, Missouri University of Science and Technology is a public school with a moderately-sized student population.

Of the 238 students majoring in engineering at Missouri University of Science and Technology, 89% are male and 11% are female.

The in-demand online graduate certificate programs at Worcester Polytechnic Institute helped the school earn the #3 place on this year’s ranking of the best engineering schools in the United States. WPI is a medium-sized private not-for-profit school located in the midsize city of Worcester.

Of the 62 students majoring in engineering at WPI, 73% are male and 27% are female.
